An Environmental Assessment Certificate for the Brucejack Project by the British Columbia Minister of the Environment and Minister of Energy and Mines has been issued.
The Ministers issued the certificate with conditions which have given them the confidence to conclude that the project will be constructed, operated and decommissioned in a way that ensures no significant adverse effects are likely to occur.
The environmental review process was led by British Columbia's Environmental Assessment Office ("BCEAO"). The process provides for significant opportunities for Aboriginal groups, government agencies and the public to provide input on the potential for environmental, economic, social, heritage and health effects from a proposed project.
